There aren't enough words to describe how happy I am to be part of an event taking place on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at KitTEA, San Francisco's first cat cafe.
Billed as "Everything Cats Wish Humans Knew About How To Serve Them," this seminar / Q&A features Cat Behavior Consultant, Daniel "DQ" Quagliozzi; Animal RN, Robyn Kesnow; and yours truly.
Here's what we'll be talking about:
Jodi Ziskin - Don't Panic!
Meeting a cat's physical, mental, emotional and social needs isn't as daunting as it sounds. Learn about bio-appropriate nutrition, things cats need to call their own, bonding through play, providing a safe environment and being proactive with healthcare.
Even though we wish we never had to leave our geriatric or ill cats alone, there are times when it can't be avoided. Traveling for business, prior commitments, and out of town emergencies happen. Learn how to find proper care for cats needing medications, subcutaneous fluids, help with the litter box and more. Also discover what hospice care for cats is and when it is the right time to bring in a professional.
This mini cat class, filled with info and humor, teaches cat body language, the freewill mind of the cat vs. the human impulse mind and how humans can be better people if they were more like cats. Meow.
Since we will be holding the event in the cat room, space is limited. Start time is 6:30pm. Tickets are $25 (all proceeds go to the cats of KitTEA) and can be purchased through KitTEA.
